Experimentation
--

We thought it would be good to include solid research experimentation in our exploration of CryoComputing.

Circuit Setup:

Picture of the whole circuit. The two disconnected wires on the left are to be connected to the 5 volt power source.

Procedure in Brief:

  • Connect 5 volt power source to circuit.

  • Connect oscilloscope to the circuit to see the oscillation of the voltages.

  • How to spray the freeze spray
Mike, demonstrating how to spray the circuit with freeze spray.
Connect electronic thermometer to the circuit to measure the temperature of the circuit operating environment.

  • Spray freeze spray on the circuit to cool it.

  • Measure temperature with the thermometer and the frequency of the oscillation with the the oscilloscope

  • Continue measuring temperature and frequency as the temperature of the circuit gradually reaches room temperature.

  • Repeat, if desired to get more data.
